Report to General Assembly on implementation of Fairness in Negotiation Act due July 1, 2014 (Chapters 324 & 325, Acts of 2010).
The Public School Labor Relations Board was authorized on July 1, 2010 (Chapters 324 & 325, Acts of 2010). The Board administers labor relations provisions relating to public elementary and secondary education. It decides controversies and disputes between local boards of education and employee organizations representing school system personnel.
Five members constitute the Board. They are appointed to five-year terms by the Governor with Senate advice and consent.
The Executive Director is appointed jointly by the State Labor Relations Board, the State Higher Education Labor Relations Board, and the Public School Labor Relations Board.
Authorization for the Board extends through June 30, 2015 (Code Education Article, sec. 6-801 through 6-807).
