In Worcester County, the Board's three members are appointed by the Governor with Senate advice and consent to four-year terms (Code 1957, Art. 2B, sec. 15-101).
Appointed by the Board of County Commissioners, the Director of the Department is the chief addminstrative officer of the Department (Code 1957, Art. 2B, secs. 15-201, 15-202; 15-204, 15-205).
The Board consists of three members appointed to six-year terms by the Governor with Senate advice and consent (Code Criminal Law Article, secs. 13-2601 through 13-2613).

DEPARTMENT OF LIQUOR CONTROL
In Worcester County, the Department of Liquor Control originated as the Liquor Control Board. The Board was abolished in July 2011 and replaced by the Department of Liquor Control (Chapter 304, Acts of 2011). The Department establishes and maintains stores known as County liquor dispensaries for the sale of sparkling or fortified wine and other alcoholic beverages in sealed packages or containers (Code 1957, Art. 2B, secs. 6-201, 6-301, 6-401, 8-224, 8-603).
WORCESTER COUNTY BINGO BOARD
To conduct bingo in Worcester County, an organization or municipal corporation must secure a license. The Worcester County Bingo Board excercises control and supervision over all games of bingo to ensure that they are conducted fairly in accordance with licenses issued and Board regulations. The Board does not allow bingo to be conducted for commercial purposes or private profit.
