To achieve the goals of the State Economic Growth, Resource Protection, and Planning Policy, the Commission will recommend and promote model State and local development regulations. State and local smart growth indicators will be evaluated for continuing viability, effectiveness, and possible changes. Local adequate public facilities ordinances also will be reviewed by the Commission to assess their impact on achieving goals of the Policy.
Authorization for the Commission ends December 31, 2020 (Code State Finance & Procurement Article, sec. 5-707).
