TABLE TENNIS
In November 1998, the North American Table Tennis Championships were held in Baltimore, Maryland. Interest in the sport is fostered by the Maryland Table Tennis Association, which hosts many local tournaments in Eldersburg, Maryland, as well as the annual Maryland Closed Tournament each April. Other clubs statewide include the Maryland Table Tennis Center in Gaithersburg, Maryland.
